Secret Giant Interactive Installation Project
I’ve been working for months on a S00P3R S33KR1T project that has me totally and irrevocably hooked on interactive installation work. I’ll have a full write up when it’s unveiled, but for now I can say that I’ve generated hundreds of lines of code, written tools to define cut files for thousands of dollars worth of aluminum, planned the routing for 5 miles of electrical cable, generated map files, tools and templates for artists and skilled fabricators to follow (so far without incident), reverse engineered proprietary lighting control file formats, and mastered the worlds most complicated labelmaker. When it’s complete this project will be a world class, permanently installed, interactive sculpture that will be viewed by hundreds of people a day. So… no pressure. In the mean time, here is less than one 154th of it:
